Kindly Note. Send a note

The friendly agreement

Terms, without the legal fog.

Kindly Note is for everyday sentiments that deserve a kind word and perhaps an unnecessarily official letterhead. By using it, you agree to the few rules below.

Keep it kind

Use Kindly Note for light-hearted complaints, appreciation and apologies. Don’t use it to threaten, harass, shame, deceive, share someone’s private information, or send anything illegal or seriously harmful.

Check before you send

AI can misunderstand a situation or write something you didn’t mean. Read your notice carefully, make sure the email address is right, and only send words you’re comfortable putting into the world.

Respect a “no”

Every recipient can opt out or report a notice. Don’t try to work around an opt-out, and don’t use another address to keep contacting someone who wants the messages to stop.

How we keep things safe

We may refuse, remove or keep a record of content when needed to prevent misuse, honour an opt-out, review a report, or protect the service and the people using it.

Your words

You keep your rights to the text you provide and may use the notices created for you. You give us permission to process that text only as needed to draft, deliver and protect your notice.

A small service, doing its best

We work hard to make every draft thoughtful, every send reliable and Kindly Note available when you need it. The service will keep improving as we learn what works. Things can still occasionally go wrong; if these terms change, we’ll update the date here.

Fair limits

To keep Kindly Note kind, we limit how many notices you can create and send, how often you can write to the same person, and how many notices anyone receives. We may change these limits at any time; the FAQ describes the current ones. Please don’t try to get around them, for example with automated tools. Delivery also depends on each recipient’s preferences, and to protect everyone’s privacy, we never confirm whether a particular notice was delivered.

Kind words. Clear boundaries. Official stationery.
